- a: bodice; plum coloured wool; velvet front, collar, cuffs; boned; buttons at centre front; hooks over to left side; English back with small peplum; two piece sleeves; lined in cotton; tabs with button holes on inside to attach to skirt; b: skirt; same plum wool with velvet inserts at pleats; front draped; pocket in front of skirt; back has built in bustle; ties on inside to create bustle; lined in canvas and polished cotton

- a: a few buttons missing; bone casings show wear; armholes show wear; b: holes at inside waistband; wool is fading
